God Gave us Sabbath.

Genesis 2:2

1.) Prep.

Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the

seventh day is a sabbath to the LORD your God. On it

you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or

daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your

animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns.

Exodus 20:9-10

He said to them, “This is what the LORD commanded:

‘Tomorrow is to be a day of sabbath rest, a holy

sabbath to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake

and boil what you want to boil. Save whatever is left

and keep it until morning.’”

Exodus 16:23

2.) Smoke.

By the seventh day God had finished the work he had

been doing; so on the seventh day he rested from all his

work.

Genesis 2:2

3.) Stall.

Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for

man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is

Lord even of the Sabbath.”

Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat

or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New

Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. These are a

shadow of the things that were to come; the reality,

however, is found in Christ.

4.) Rest.

Then should not this woman, a daughter of

Abraham, whom Satan has kept bound for eighteen

long years, be set free on the Sabbath day from what

bound her?”

Action Step: I will try out an 8, 12 or 24-hour sabbath this week.
