I can trust the Bible because …
1.) It is historically accurate.
The Word of the Lord is right and true;
Psalm 33:4a
2.) It is scientifically accurate.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created, and he established them for ever and ever—
Psalm 148:5-6a
He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth …
Isaiah 40:22a
He spreads out the northern skies over empty space; he suspends the earth over nothing.
Job 26:7
I will make the descendants of David my servant and the Levites who minister before me as countless as the stars in the sky …
Jeremiah 33:22
… the priest is to isolate the affected person for seven days.
Leviticus 13:4b
3.) It is prophetically accurate.
For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.
2 Peter 1:21
4.) It is thematically unified.
Beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, He explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
Luke 24:27
5.) It has survived all attacks.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away.
Matthew 24:35
6.) It is inspired by God.
All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
2 Timothy 3:16
All your commands are trustworthy;
Psalm 119:86a
