John grew up in Camillus and graduated from Bishop Ludden High School. He has lived in all kinds of places including; NYC, Pittsburgh, Bangkok and LA. He is a Yankees fan and really enjoys coaching people.
Site Pastor - Auburn
Chris Goral has been a part of the Vineyard Church for 18 years. She has 3 grown kids, 6 granddaughters ages 3 – 10. Her passion is life is helping people develop a deep connection with Jesus and his church. She loves to learn and grow with others. Currently serving as the Auburn Site Pastor, she oversees all of the functions of building the community of faith there. Kayaking, swimming, camping, gardening and reading are her favorite activities.
Gwen has been married to John 28 years- 3 children Josh married to Sarah, Jenni and David and one delightful grandchild Cora. Gwen is a Registered Nurse and has a Masters Degree in Public Health. She oversees the host team, hospitality team, and safety team and is involved in other areas. She loves hiking, running and hanging out with her family.
Ted and his wife, Brittany, just recently moved here from Chicago, where Brittany was working on a doctorate in Old Testament and Ted was a worship pastor. Ted has been working as a worship pastor in various churches (from church plants to large churches) since 1998. His passion is to lead worship and to raise up and develop worship leaders and musicians as well as people who want to minister in the church at any level. Andy and his family have been attending the Vineyard since 2008. After being a middle school teacher for 16 years, Andy relocated from Rochester to Syracuse. Andy oversees Small Groups, video and media and ministry development. Andy is a music nerd and used to work for Apple.
Eddie and his wife, Alisha, have been attending the Vineyard since 2002 and have found it to be the “biggest blessing in our lives”. The “come as you are and be loved” environment allowed for them to strengthen their marriage and step out in faith to oversee the 6-8 grade middle school kids for the last 4 years. With their 2 boys in tow we have been blessed to encourage and help in the spiritual development of many teens and preteens into a relationship with the Lord. He’s Whats Up!!
Nursery Supervisor and Lay Pastor
Heather is a Lay Pastor and a small group leader. She helps out with children’s ministry, and is also in charge of outreach at the Cicero site. Heather enjoys helping people get connected in small groups, offering pastoral care and support to those in need, and caring for the babies that God has entrusted to us here at the Vineyard.
Trevor is our technical director here at the Vineyard. He is in charge of all technical aspects of the service including video and audio. He has two dogs, loves cars and cooking.
Jennifer grew up in Syracuse Area and moved back here about 2 years ago. She studied Spanish and Cultural Anthropology at Eastern University. During her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Hye Sung is originally from Korea which is over 7,000 miles away. She has been married to her husband for four years, and has one daughter. She moved here from New Jersey where she served as an educational Pastor in a Korean Church. She is passionate about helping other Asians in the the Syracuse area connect with Jesus. She has connected with Jesus in a new way at the Vineyard, and she hopes that others can experience this “come as you are” too. Children and Family Pastor
Amanda loves leading kids to Christ and watching them grow in their faith and share that with others. She has worked in children’s ministry in Florida, Virginia, and the Middle East. When she’s not loving on kids you can find her indulging one of her other passions–books, theater, and Starbucks coffee.
University Site Coordinator
Tim is the site pastor at the Vineyard at Funk ‘n Waffles – a multi-site location in the University and Westcott neighborhoods. He grew up in Syracuse and returned to his home-town three years ago after briefly “wandering the earth”. He loves anything that will get his adrenaline pumping and is a big fan of high fives.
Nancy has been attending the Vineyard for 14 years and has been part of the support staff for 13. Nancy and her husband Bill have two grown children and are enjoying the “empty nester” phase of their lives. Nancy serves on the Host Team and gets a kick out of helping people have a good first experience at the Vineyard.
Cicero Site Pastor
Bob has been hanging out at the Vineyard for about six years now. His passion is working with people in their journey with Jesus. Using their God given gifts and talents and life experiences to deepen their relationship with Him. Bob is married to his beautiful wife Cathy and has two sons Joe and Luke. Loves fishing and kayaking and just being in the outdoors.
Shelly began attending the Vineyard in 1998 and came on staff, part-time, in 2006. As a staff member, she serves as the church bookkeeper and oversees the bookstore. As a small group leader, she has a passion to help others grow in their relationship with Jesus and understanding of God’s word. When she’s not working on staff at the church, Shelly is a Pastoral Counselor with a private practice.
Anne was born and raised in Middletown, NY. She and her husband Tom moved to Auburn in March of 2011. After visiting many churches in the area they started attending the Auburn site in November of 2011. She has two step-daughters, two sons and five beautiful grandchildren. She currently is Chris Goral’s Administrative Assistant.

Adam is originally from Syracuse. He has been going to the Vineyard since he was a teenager sans about 4 years while he was living in Philly. He loves playing music, camping, and hanging out with his family. Say “hi” if you see him around.
Jon answers the phones and assists the pastoral staff support team. His Mother Kathleen Carbino and his step father Doug Carbino have been attending the Syracuse site for about 2 years. He likes hanging out with friends, volunteering and riding dirt bikes.
Kathleen grew up in Auburn, moved to a few different places throughout New York, and has now settled down in Baldwinsville. She has a 4 year old daughter, Alexis. She has a passion for children, especially toddlers. Kathleen serves in the Children’s Ministry, usually in the Pre-K room.
