“God Can Use Me”
“We are God’s MASTERPIECE. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things he planned for us long ago. “
Ephesians 2:10 (NLT)
- God uses the insecure.
“Moses said to the Lord, “Pardon your servant, Lord. I have never been eloquent, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant. I am slow of speech and tongue.”
Exodus 4:10 *p. 59
The Lord said to him, “Who gave human beings their mouths? Who makes them deaf or mute? Who gives them sight or makes them blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now go; I will help you speak and will teach you what to say.”
- God uses the unlikely.
When they arrived, Samuel saw Eliab and thought, “Surely the Lord’s anointed stands here before the Lord.” But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
1 Samuel 16:6-7
“There is still the youngest,” Jesse answered, “but he is tending the sheep.”
1 Samuel 16: 11
- God uses failures.
Peter replied, “Man I don’t know what you’re talking about!” Just as he was speaking the rooster crowed. The Lord turned and looked straight at Peter….and (Peter) went outside and wept bitterly.
Luke 22:60-62 p. 1058
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. . . .Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day.
Acts 2:38, 41
