I Got Your Back
By John Elmer
1. We are called to carry one another’s burdens.
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.
Galatians 6:2 p. 1171
But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.
1 Timothy 5:4 p. 1194
2. Healthy families stick with each other.
A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for a time of adversity.
Proverbs 17:17 p. 645
Love never stops being patient, never stops believing, never stops hoping, never gives up.
1 Corinthians 13:7 p. 1152
3. Healthy families bring the Kingdom of God into each other’s lives.
Since they could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in the roof over the place where Jesus was. Then they lowered the cot on which the paralyzed man was lying.
Mark 2:4 p. 10
I commit to “I Got Your Back” for a family member this week.
