Vineyard Church at Syracuse

John grew up in Camillus and graduated from Bishop Ludden High School. He has lived in all kinds of places including; NYC, Pittsburgh, Bangkok and LA. He is a Yankees fan and really enjoys coaching people.

Chris Goral has been a part of the Vineyard Church for 18 years. She has 3 grown kids, 6 granddaughters ages 3 – 10. Her passion is life is helping people develop a deep connection with Jesus and his church. She loves to learn and grow with others. Currently serving as the Auburn Site Pastor, she oversees all of the functions of building the community of faith there. Kayaking, swimming, camping, gardening and reading are her favorite activities.

Ted and his wife, Brittany, just recently moved here from Chicago, where Brittany was working on a doctorate in Old Testament and Ted was a worship pastor. Ted has been working as a worship pastor in various churches (from church plants to large churches) since 1998. His passion is to lead worship and to raise up and develop worship leaders and musicians as well as people who want to minister in the church at any level. Gwen has been married to John 28 years- 3 children Josh married to Sarah, Jenni and David and one delightful  grandchild Cora. Gwen is a Registered Nurse and has a Masters Degree in Public Health. She oversees the host team, hospitality team, and safety team and is involved in other areas. She loves hiking, running and hanging out with her family.

Andy and his family have been attending the Vineyard since 2008. After being a middle school teacher for 16 years, Andy relocated from Rochester to Syracuse. Andy oversees Small Groups, video and media and ministry development. Andy is a music nerd and used to work for Apple.

Eddie and his wife, Alisha, have been attending the Vineyard since 2002 and have found it to be the “biggest blessing in our lives”. The “come as you are and be loved” environment allowed for them to strengthen their marriage and step out in faith to oversee the 6-8 grade middle school kids for the last 4 years. With their 2 boys in tow we have been blessed to encourage and help in the spiritual development of many teens and preteens into a relationship with the Lord. He’s Whats Up!!

Jennifer grew up in Syracuse Area and moved back here about 2 years ago. She studied Spanish and Cultural Anthropology at Eastern University. During her free time she enjoys traveling, cooking, running, and hanging out with her family and friends.

Heather is our Nursery Supervisor (for the Syracuse site), a small group leader, a Lay Pastor and also a Substitute Teacher for the Syracuse City Schools. She is currently attending the Vineyard Leadership Institute to further her spiritual journey.  Heather enjoys getting people connected with others in small groups, offering pastoral care and support to those in need and caring for the babies that God has entrusted to us here at the Vineyard.

Hye Sung is originally from Korea which is over 7,000 miles away. She has been married to her husband for four years and has one daughter. She recently moved from New Jersey where she served as a educational Pastor in a Korean Church. She is passionate about helping other Asians in the the Syracuse area connect with Jesus. She has connected with Jesus in a new way here, At the Vineyard, and she hopes that others can experience their “come as you are…” atmosphere and enjoy themselves. Matthew and his wife Jaime are originally from Virginia but have been attending the Vineyard for over 3 years now. Matthew is the University Site Coordinator and oversees all things video.  Matt enjoys all types of music and being outside.

Nancy has been attending the Vineyard for 14 years and has been part of the support staff for 13. Nancy and her husband Bill have two grown children and are enjoying the “empty nester” phase of their lives. Nancy serves on the Host Team and gets a kick out of helping people have a good first experience at the Vineyard.

Shelly began attending the Vineyard in 1998 and came on staff, part-time, in 2006. As a staff member, she serves as the church bookkeeper and oversees the bookstore. As a small group leader, she has a passion to help others grow in their relationship with Jesus and understanding of God’s word. When she’s not working on staff at the church, Shelly is a Pastoral Counselor with a private practice.

Laura has been attending the Vineyard for about 3 years. She is part of the host team and works at the front desk in the church office. Laura and her husband Andy have been married for 17 years and have two children, Josh and Emily. If you stop by or call she will do her best to help you.

Lee has been attending The Vineyard Church since 2007 and has had the opportunity to meet so many amazing people. Along with her husband Chris, she currently leads the worship team at the Auburn site. Lee is Chris Goral’s assistant and she looks forward to continue to see her church family grow. She enjoys singing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Adam is originally from Syracuse. He has been going to the Vineyard since he was a teenager sans about 4 years while he was living in Philly. He loves playing music, camping, and hanging out with his family. Say “hi” if you see him around.
